Seacoast Adopt-A-Block was founded in the spring of 2005 with the hope of building meaningful relationships within our community, the Portsmouth Seacoast Area.
We felt that there needed to be unity within our community when it came to serving the needs of the elderly, the widowed, the disabled, and those who could not help themselves.
Vision
Our vision was to never do this for money or recognition but to get to know our neighbors and help make their lives a little easier. That is what being a community all is about. We all want to see the city of Portsmouth become a better place.
Since then, our organization has grown to encompass much more!
Now we have partnered with United Way, Caring Foods, Conquest Community Teen Center, Rockingham County Diversion Program, Operation Blessing, Seacoast Community Thrift Store, Connect Community Church, and other organizations because we are convinced that the people of our community have a desire to help others who are in need and, when given a chance to help, that they will respond with great love and strong conviction.
